The Sr. SharePoint Consultant is an expert in the architectural design, deployment, and migration of Microsoft SharePoint and its underlying services. Under the supervision of the SharePoint Practice Lead, the Sr. SharePoint Consultant is responsible for developing custom applications and functionality that utilize SharePoint services and features. The Sr. SharePoint Consultant will implement complex SharePoint infrastructure to provide reliable and scalable solutions to meet client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advanced SharePoint technical expertise and consulting services, to include:

SharePoint farm design and implementation. 

• SharePoint migration and version upgrades. 
• Site, list, and library topology design and deployment. 
• PowerShell scripting to automate deployment and administrative tasks. 
• Custom SharePoint application development, both server-side and client-side. 
• Work flow integration 

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

 

• Subject matter expert w/ 5+ years’ experience in all aspects of SharePoint architecture. 
• Ability to design, install, upgrade, implement and maintain a SharePoint farm. 
• Experience with SharePoint 2010, 2013, and SharePoint  Online/ Office 365. 
• Experience with SharePoint migrations using native and 3rd party tools and/or processes. 
• SharePoint version upgrades and associated scripting options. 
• Design and development of custom server-side  applications, web parts, event receivers, and timer jobs. 
• Developing SharePoint Add-ins/Apps and related client scripting. 
• Expert understanding of the SharePoint Server ObjectModel, CSOM, and REST services. 
• Understanding of the Solution and Feature framework. 
• Web application architecture and configuration. 
• SharePoint Server and Role configuration 
• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 
• ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and jQuery 
• PowerShell, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio 

Desired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

Claims based authentication and user profiler sync 

• Identity federation with Office 365 or Azure AD 
• FAST or Enterprise Search configuration and customization. 
• SQL Server design and development. 
• Experience with at least one of  the following SharePoint Migration Tools
• Metalogix
• ShareGate
• OnDemand Migrator

Work Experience:

5+ years of experience SharePoint design and development 

• Experience in the analysis, design, implementation and  support of large complex SharePoint deployments 
• Custom software development preferred (including  object-oriented design, multi-layer design, debugging, scripting, etc.). 
• Experience integrating SharePoint with third party systems and data sources. 

Education and/or Certifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent      work experience
